Grillin' and chillin'

I found the grill I want after a long time of searching for a decent candidate.  I think it will be perfect, it already has a nice patina.  I am also thinking of welding support braces behind the lower flares and bending them to mount my headlights on it.   It's going to be awesome.
Mannfred approves.

So this truck is one of the cars that inspired me to hunt for this grill.

I has the toys.

I have now acquired a Lincoln 155 mig welder and a 60 gallon Ingersoll Rand air compressor.  My girlfriend is rather annoyed at the size of the air compressor and doesn't understand the need/want for air tools.  She is trying to pimp it out for drinks and/or dinner. Come over use my compressor but feed me first.  I guess I am going to have to name her,  the air compressor that is.  I can't pimp her out and not even know her name... Hmmm maybe I will just call her Secret. "What's your name?" "Secret, what's yours?"

Lions, tigers and beans... oh my!

I took my taillights apart and found that I was missing a mounting plate. I tried a few things but nothing fit right. Then I found the perfect mounting plate.  The top of a big can of Bush's baked beans!  And as a bonus it's fat free...  don't want Mannfred getting too fat now do we?

I see the light...

I have been hunting for the right tail lights for a long time.  I wanted a set that were different than the average Model A. When I saw these I knew they were the ones; however, when I took them apart they were all nasty and missing parts.I guess that happens when your 80+ years old, so I set off to rebuild them.  I bought new led bulbs, new housing and some waterproof tubing and then started the build.

A little vroom vroom anyone?

The parts accumulation has started. I am buying things as the finances allow.  First up a crate Chevy 350 engine.

Check and double check!

I went to my first swapmeet and I learned a valuable lesson.  Always double check that the gas tank you are buying fits the car you have.  A 1930 Model A tank doesn't fit a 1929 Model A.  *sad face*

Rolly rolly or a hernia?

Ever try to move a steel car body by yourself?  Yeah... don't.  Instead build one of these. Then you only have to lift it onto the dolly & move it as needed around your garage.
